I am shana's daughter Janetta named after her mommy ( i love my name very much) my mom and grandma taught me when i was young to embrodiery it was bambi and yes i still have it.... i was 5 yrs old. i was hooked my fingers loved it my heart began to sing...... as i grew up i lost track of sewing for a while BOYS CAME important for a bit but i did play under moms alot! with my little brother harold. at 13 i made a quilt which i still have to put in my hope chest for when i had children ironic it was a boys quilt my first child was a boy lol guess my mind already new. after i was married my sewing came back to me i was 19 years old and needed a outlet if started with teaching myself how to sew clothes for my son then moved into curtains and clothes for others. after a divorce i tried my hand back into the world of quilts BIG MISTAKE! now i am just a 4th generation quilter of my family and now i am too ADDICTED!!! I love to quilt as much as possible and i make my own designs. quilting has become my passion and i hope to share it with my granddaughters as they grow older as i have with my own daughters who i hope one day will pick up the quilting bug too. even my son gave his hand at it once wonder will he ever finish his quilt him and his sister began in high school??? maybe i mom can hope..... all in all i guess i can blame my mom and grandma for givng me this bug of quilting and i know if my grandma was here today she would be amazed and proud of my purple heart design and how many soliders i have given them too so in a end of this i say KEEP QUILTING IT KEEPS YOUR MIND HAPPY!! qouted after aunt saima another quilter i love! my moms sister! hugs to you all till next time happy quilting!
